Latvian Techno Vector – Electronic Music Online Concert

An electronic music online concert: “Latvian Techno Vector” will take place from June 14th to June 21st. The event will be broadcasted from several scenic factory locations, where four electronic music Artists/DJs will perform: Black Moth, Ekva, Puffin, and Ksenia Kamikaza.

Latvian Techno Vector will take place on the premises of the former Provodnik factory, in the form of an online concert. The project is created to support the creative industry in Latvia and to develop the Baltic music scene.

The online concert will be hosted by RIGA FM and Saulartorganizations, in cooperation with Realto, a real estate developer. The event will be broadcasted through social media platforms — Facebook and YouTube.

The project aims to draw the public’s attention to the crisis of the creative industry and to give support to the Latvian music scene. During the event, spectators will also have the opportunity to participate in an online contest, where handmade gifts from our team will be raffled with the winners.

“Creative industry is not just about entertainment,” says Sergejs Mikuša, a member of Saulart and founder of RIGA FM organization.

“It may seem like it is something additional to our culture, a lifestyle we can do without. However, I think we feel especially clear about the longing for community, togetherness, emotions, and dedication of our work for the joy of creation. Especially after this period of the pandemic, restrictions, and lockdowns, how it affected us all. We invite you to watch how empty factory spaces get revived by human creative energies, creating the pulse of life we call Techno!” says Sergejs Mikuša.

Sergejs emphasizes that — “Latvian Techno Vector” — is an effort for the creative industry to adapt to the changes, creating a sense of unity remotely and a duty to continue inspiration of our audience.

Saulart is creative industry organization that has been operating since 2018 and whose main activities are the organization of public and private events.. Implementing projects of social significance in cooperation with the Department of Education, Culture, and Sports of the Riga City Council.

RIGA FM is audio-visual broadcasting channel. Started in 2020 with event hosting & artist promotion. During the past few years organizations have implemented various profile projects, hosting creative interactive events in several locations of Latvia. Since 2020 due to the epidemiological situation and limited opportunity to perform live events for a wide audience, online broadcasts of live audio-visual events have gained a new level of relevance becoming RIGA FM’s main activity during the restrictions.

Latvian Techno Vector concert is a new scale project for both organizations.

The event is created thanks to the owner and developer of Provodnik, which operates in a group of companies under a more well-known brand Realto. Realto leases manage and develop more than 250,000 m2 with more than 750 companies operating in a wide range of fields. Provodnik’s future development plan is to turn it into a multifunctional quarter where representatives of the creative industry, as well as various service providers, manufacturers, offices, cafes, and restaurants, will operate. Plans are to build a residential and hotel function in the quarter. Also, since the quarter is located on the bank of the Daugava, there are opportunities to develop water transport and build a boat dock.

“Baltic music scene must be supported and developed further, by creating a playground for the artists. Cultivation of culture must not stop, we must give new opportunities, activities for the people if the old ones disappear. It does not matter what we are left to deal with, it matters what we will make out of it.” says Artūrs Afanasjevs, a member of Saulart and Co-founder of RIGA FM organization.

We are looking forward to your participation and together we will make history. Save the date and join!
