Events Culture expands beyond the city center in Riga

Lucavsala, Čiekurkalns, Bolderāja, Ziepniekkalns and Pļavnieki districts in Riga, Latvia will be the hotspots of culture this summer. Open-air concerts of various genres, as well as conversations, lectures, excursions, physical activities, and activities for children, will be available free of charge.

On Thursday evenings & Saturday afternoons make sure to stop by Ziepniekkalns for their weekly events at the “Strops” ( ENG – “Hive”). Whereas save your Wednesday evenings & Saturday afternoons to go to Pļavnieki to see what’s happening in the “Hive” (“Strops”) over there.

One of the first events will take place on July 1st, which will be the folklore school “Plāns” (ENG – “Plan”). On Saturday, July 3 there will be a musical puppet show “Gliemezīša Piedzīvojumi” (ENG – “Snail Adventures”), followed by events such as Jakob Noiman’s children ‘s concert and Katrīna Dimanta’ s concert for families.
