Judith Parts first single "Meadowsweet" released from upcoming conceptual album

Judith Parts releases her single “Meadowsweet”. It is the first single from her upcoming conceptual album that will be released in 6 chapters. “Meadowsweet” is a stunning introduction to the album and provides a glimpse into Judith’s unique sound world where she blends pop and experimental music.

The Nordic plant meadowsweet directly inspires the title track of the upcoming album. The song is a tribute to the strength, power, sensuality and softness embodied by the "Meadowsweet Queen", a character that emerged from the artist's experience in a field of blooming meadowsweet. Judith says:

One summer I ended up in a vast field full of blooming meadowsweet. Its smell consumed me and took me into a sleepy dream-like state. That experience inspired me to create this song. The beats on this track were created using sounds captured from a construction site near my first home in Copenhagen. Fascinated by duality, I wanted to blend these two very different environments.

Judith Parts is a Copenhagen-based producer and an artist who mixes acoustic instruments with electronics and field recordings, creating experimental pop songs and minimalist/melancholic instrumental tracks. Besides working on her solo project, she has composed and produced music for many theatre and dance performances. Originally from Estonia, she draws a lot of her inspiration from the nature she grew up in.
