TMW announces restaurant festival with a record number of participating chefs

Tallinn Music Week – the city festival that will take over Tallinn from 28th March to 3rd April includes a record number of favourite restaurants in the TMW Tastes programme. In addition to the renowned Nordic cuisine and restaurants with focus on local Estonian produce this time also many exotic cuisines will join the festival.

“TMW Tastes” presents 24 eateries that offer festival guests special chefs’ menus and discounts. The only selection criteria for the TMW festival team: fresh and tasty food!

Among the selected restaurants is the flagship of traditional Old European cuisine Gloria as well as MEKK – a celebration of contemporary cuisine with Estonian produce. Von Krahli Aed, the first organic restaurant in Tallinn, Vegan Restaurant V, the free and unlimited “fusion-confusion” Kolm Sibulat, the ambassador of colourful cuisine Umami, the Scandinavian café and cocktail bar with the best soundtrack in town August and the flashy eclectic Manna La Roosa are part of the festival. TMW Tastes also includes some of the best ethnic cuisines in the Estonian capital – the best of India, Thai and China in Bollywood, Korean restaurant Gotsu and the Japanese market and café Tokumaru.

The Japanese chef of Tokumaru, Daigo Takagi is excited to join the TMW Tastes: “I believe in the future of Estonia. Estonia has developed a lot recently. I can also see it from the taste of the Estonians. I am happy to make my contribution by offering Japanese food and culture. Food is culture like music; food makes people happy like music. I wish that TMW guests will discover new tastes and get good energy with us!”

The chef of Leib Resto and Umami Resto Kristjan Peäske, for several years part of TMW Tastes, is happy to participate again:

“For us the cooperation with TMW has always been very exciting. On one hand it’s cool to be part of such a brilliant festival like TMW, on the other hand the festival brings us new and interesting guests. What more could a restaurant wish for!”
