Weekend Festival Baltic, taking place from August 3 – 5 in Pärnu, has confirmed the performance of the current top pop act – The Chainsmokers. The group has won a Grammy and an American Music Award and their video “Closer” has been watched more than 1.3 billion times in YouTube. The Chainsmoker’s show will be this summers biggest pop show in Estonia.
Members of The Chainsmokers, Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, skilfully mix together elements from indie, dance and pop music. Their breakthrough single “#Selfie” made it to number one on Billboard dance music charts and has sold over 10 million copies. In 2015 the band gave more than 300 shows around the globe, including renowned festivals like Lollapalooza, Firefly, Tomorrowland and Ultra. The hit single from 2016 “Closer” started climbing the music charts making it to the top position remained there for over 10 weeks. The debut album “Memories…Do Not Open” will be out on April 7.
In addition to The Chainsmokers following artist were confirmed to perform at the festival from August 3-5: Don Diablo, Syn Cole, GTA, Wild Motherfuckers, Alma, [Ex] Da Bass, Andres Puusepp and Bombossa Brothers.
Prior line-up announcements have been Alan Walker, Alesso, Alex Mattson, Alok, Armin van Buuren, Bass Modulators, Brennan Heart, Cheat Codes, Clean Bandit, Deadmau5, Futuristik, Jauz, Kristjan Hirmo, Kungs, Macky Gee, Madison Mars, Martin Garrix, MHKL, NOËP, Proteus, Púr Múdd, Radical Redemption, Rae Sremmurd, Sub Focus, Tchami and Tungevaag & Raaban. The final line-up will be announced in the end of the spring.
