Next summer on July 27 one of the most awaited open-air shows will take place in Lucavsala, Riga, Latvia. One of the most successful rock bands in music history – “Red Hot Chili Peppers” – will perform a magnificent live show on the bank of Daugava River. Marking a unique milestone in the history of concerts in Latvia, it is estimated that the impressive event will gather the audience of approximately 30 000 from all Baltic states.
“Red Hot Chili Peppers” will visit Latvia within their world tour that follows the highly appreciated studio album “The Getaway” that was released this summer.
“The Getaway” is their 11th studio album and has received 6 “Grammy” awards as well as reached nr.1 in music charts all around the world. The record also hit nr.1 on the most respected album top the “Billboard”. “The Getaway” is the band’s 7th studio album that has reached Top 10. “The Getaway” made its debut at number one in ten different countries including Australia, Belgium, Ireland, Netherlands and New Zealand.
“The Getaway” was produced by Danger Mouse and mixed by Nigel Godrich. The album has been named as the best of the band’s latest records. The “Rolling Stone” point out: “These are some of the last years best songs – from the most magnificent shelf of modern rock.”
“Red Hot Chili Peppers” is one of the most successful bands in the history of rock music. The band currently consisting of founding members Anthony Kiedis (vocals) and Flea (bass), longtime drummer Chad Smith, and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer. They are one of the best-selling bands of all time with over 80 million records sold worldwide, have been nominated for sixteen Grammy Awards, of which they have won six, and are the most successful band in alternative rock radio history, currently holding the records for most number-onesingles (13), most cumulative weeks at number one (85) and most top-ten songs (25) on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. In 2012, they were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Tickets to the “Red Hot Chili Peppers” only show in Baltics will be on sale starting from this Thursday, November 17, from 10:00 online at www.bilesuserviss.lv as well as in all “Biļešu servisa” box offices. Only till November 27 the ticket price will be 59 EUR, after that the ticket price will go up to 69 EUR.
Fan Zone tickets at the front of the stage will cost 99 EUR. Also VIP tickets will be available for 199 EUR including seats under a roof, separate entrance, bar and wc, as well as entrance in fan zone and parking.
However, this Wednesday, on November 16 at 10:00 tickets to the show will be available for purchase to all of the FBI concert club members.
