“I am very grateful for the upcoming encounter with our beloved audience. The idea for the concert program “The Three Osokins and Friends” has been waiting its premiere for quite some time, and we are looking forward to sharing our artistic dreams with our stage partners. Certainly, the decision to cancel the sold-out concert in the Opera house was not easy, but musicians, venues and audiences in the whole world were united under similar circumstances. We are also looking forward to our annual concert in Jūrmala, Dzintari concert hall, these concerts have become a beautiful summer tradition for all of us,” said pianist Andrejs Osokins when asked to share his thoughts about these years performances of Osokins dynasty.
In recent years brothers Andrejs and Georgijs are touring all around the world performing in such prestigious venues as Berliner Philharmonie, Auditorium La Verdi in Milan, Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre hall, Katowice NOSPR hall, Warsaw National Philharmonic hall, Berlin Konzerthaus, Qatar Opera House, as well as they had recorded various solo CDs highly praised by critics in Europe. Meanwhile their teacher and father, professor Sergey Osokins for his achievement in both pedagogical and piano performance fields was awarded the highest honour of Latvian Republic –the Order of the Three Stars.
The Three Osokins are united by their deep, creative and expert musical interpretation. Each stroke of the piano keys has purpose, is expressed and transformed into subtle vibrations of sound that reach listeners and reveal to them the nuances of the music itself.
The Three Osokins have performed at the Latvian National Opera, the concert hall Great Amber in Liepāja, Dzintari Concert Hall in Jūrmala and at the Theatre House “Jūras vārti” in Ventspils. Each concert is an event in and of itself, because each is carefully assembled, scripted, and filled with pieces that have been specially adapted to be performed by three pianos. Each concert program includes several musical artworks from various periods and composers.
