In the melancholic collaboration “I Fail When I’m In Love”, Latvian musicians of the new generation, Tom Simo (Toms Samsons) and Tipa (Tabita Balode) have united.

“A song is a story of one-sided love. Each of us has a person we admire. Though, quite often feelings tend to be one-sided. The lyrics of the song” I Fail When I’m in Love “describe the feeling of being with such a person who tried to be the best version of himself, although it does not always match the person ‘s true “I”, “says the singer and songwriter Tom Simo.

The singer Tipa, who is also the author of the song’s melody, points to the dual nature of the song: “While working on the song’s musical accompaniment, I remembered what a conductor once said about Emils Darzins’ composition ”Melancholic Waltz“- melancholic does not always mean sad.”

Musicians from the band “Rock’n’Berries” Arnolds Jass and Jānis Narbuts have also participated in the creation of the song.

“Tom and Tabita are talented young people with strong, very significant voices. In this duo, they match and complement each other perfectly!

In turn, the great keyboardist Arnold Jass has supplemented the song with orchestral sound,” says Narbuts, who is a founder and producer of a recording studio at White Wide Production.
