This Friday, October 2nd, at 7.30 PM, the charming jazz violin star Line Kruse will perform her only concert in Dzintari Concert Hall, Jūrmala within the “Jūrmala Jazz” cycle.
Together with the Latvian Radio Big Band Line Kruse will perform compositions from her albums “Hidden Stones” and “Invitation” where the artist combines the best of rhythmic Latin, classical and jazz music, breaking boundaries and using instruments that are not typical for jazz music.
Line Kruse is a French-based Danish violinist and composer who fascinates jazz critics from “Jazz News”, “Europe One”, “France Musique” and other prestigious jazz editions. She regularly collaborates with the world-famous band “Gotan Project”, Argentine percussionist Minino Garay, Cuban band “Sabor A Son” and creative South American artists from Paris.
Line Kruse has both created and conducted several large ensembles and orchestras, such as “Dansk7”, “BowLines” and the “Line Kruse Orchestra”, which is a non-traditional jazz big band.
Strong rhythms and lyrical simplicity are the basis of this diverse form of music created by L. Kruse, which is both intimate and extroverted. Someone once said that Apollo’s harmonious ideal and Dionysus’ abundant joy find common ground by hearing the sounds of Line Kruse’s clear violin.
Line Kruse’s concert in Dzintari Concert Hall will take place within the cycle “Jūrmala Jazz”, which offers listeners to enjoy outstanding performances by jazz musicians from all over the world.
