Latvian conductor Andris Nelsons awarded with the prestigious “Grammy” Award

On Monday night in Los Angeles, United States of America, Latvian conductor Andris Nelsons awarded with the prestigious Grammy Award for Dmitri Shostakovich’s 10 symphonies entry “Shostakovich: Under Stalin’s Shadow – Symphony No.10”. Nelson led the Boston Symphony Orchestra in a performance. The award was given in the nomination “Best Orchestral Performance”

The 2016 Grammy Awards ceremony was held on February 15, 2016, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony recognizes the best recordings, compositions and artists of the eligibility year, which is from October 1, 2014, to September 30, 2015.
