GINTS SMUKAIS
It’s been 12 years since his first encounter with the acoustic guitar.
His first serious influence was in late 2010, when he discovered Kaki King – a fingerstyle guitarist/composer-songwriter from USA.
Playing solo shows, occasionally collaborating with various known Latvian musicians, pop-artists, dance studios and choirs for an exceptional project.
Gints’s album “Flourish” was nominated “Debut Album 2018” in Latvian Annual Music awards 2019.
Gints got to know the fingerstyle guitarist community closer by visiting guitar contests hosted abroad (USA, CAN): (2019) 3rd placement in Fingerstyle Guitar World Championship, hosted by Walnut Valley festival (USA, KA).
