Estonian indie rock group The Boondocks releases new single “Everybody Shake”

The Estonian indie rock group The Boondocks just released their new single ‘Everybody Shake’ with instrumental B-side “Appalachian Dunes”.

The Boondocks is an indie rock band formed in early 2012 in the small coastal city of Pärnu, Estonia. In 2013, they took part in the band competition Noortebänd which is the biggest youth band competition in Estonia and reached the final. Soon after that they released the music video for ‘Turn Off the Lights’ which held the #1 spot on the Estonian music video charts for three consecutive weeks. More recently, they’ve performed at Tallinn Music Week twice and were subject to rave reviews.

The release of ‘Everybody Shake’ signals the first single from an upcoming LP whose name and release date is yet to be announced.

Reporter Justīne Panteļējeva described the band as very talented guys, who sing about love and aren’t afraid to admit that they draw inspiration from Kanye West who, alongside with MØ, La Roux and 80s electronic music like M, Gary Numan and other retro bands like Blondie have been cited as large influences and musical sources of inspiration.

The single is available now on iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Google Play, Amazon, etc.
