Estonian Best Male Act 2015 and Universal artist Jüri Pootsmann to represent Estonia in Eurovision 2016 

Jüri Pootsmann, a 21-year-old Universal artist is the winner of the final of Eesti Laul, Estonia’s national selection for the Eurovision Song Contest, with the song “Play”.

The high-flying 21-year-old vocalist is headed to cosmic heights with the whole nation’s support. One of the most promising male singers in Estonia, having a mixed genre style and varied vocal range, spreading bass-baritone and signature moves throughout his performances. Pootsmann’s self-titled EP was released in November 2015 and full album is planned for the coming fall under Universal Music.

Recently titled as the Best Male Act of 2015 at the Estonian Music Awards, being united with his first very own band and having dreamt of participating in Eurovision – the past year has been a striking fantasy ride for the young vocalist. So he continues his vocal and artistic journey with nothing but drive for singing in his eyes and mind.

Jüri Pootsmann will be participating in this year’s Eurovision Song Contest taking place in Stockholm.
