Smart and ambitious pop-music – that’s how Bastille are characterized by the prominent music magazine NME. Bastille have been delivering good pop-music for six years now and next spring the band will perform in Arena Riga, Latvia on March 4 and in Saku Suurhall, Tallinn, Estonia on March 6!
The band released their second studio album “Wild World” in September and the album itself as the currently rotating single “Good Grief” both have been very succesful proving that Bastille are not just a one hit wonder.
Bastille have received numerous awards and nominations, including the 2014 BRIT Award and 2015 Grammy nomination both for the “Best Breakthrough Act” and the Teen Choice Award for the “Best Rock Song”. This year the NME magazine placed “Wild World” amongst the top music albums of 2016.
Bastille continue to tell exciting and intriguing stories through their music creating exciting atmosphere, using numerous keyboards and percussions. Truth to be told, the latest album features guitars that were berely present in the band’s music instrument asenal before, but now they create more solid, rich and harmonic sound.
Members of the band tend to distance themselves from a designation “pop-music” and point out that this term includes rock-music, hip-hop and soul music. “We write songs with a meaning and I like the sense of space in music, epic chorus and we don’t intent to change that” says the band’s lead vocalist Dan Smith.
“Bastille” concert in Riga will be a comeback to Latvia. They performed in Latvia in summer of 2014 at the “Positius Festival” where they were acknowledged as the most anticipated and harismatic artists. Now, as they hit the road for the new album promo tour, “Bastille” are at their best. They make each fan feel special, Dan Smith stage dives like crazy and runs through the audience, not to mention the impressive instrument set on stage, including three keyboards, two sets of drums, guitars trumpets and trombones that all create a special atmosphere. A massive sound adventure and show is guaranteed!
