One of the hottest Estonian pop-artists ARIADNE released her new single “Running Without You”
“We all have had someone or something in our lives, that holds us back and won’t let us run and shine. This song is about how to let go, listen to your gut feeling and do what makes you happy.” explains Ariadne the background of this song.
Ariadne’s previous single “Queen Of My Own” which was released back in January, is the most played new song by a domestic female artist on Estonian radios this year. “Queen Of My Own” debuted at #5 on Estonian single sales chart, making it the highest placed solo single by an Estonian female artist in 2020.
This year has been an important year for Ariadne for another reason. In summer she put together her first band and the first performances took place in august at Tallinn Music Week festival.
Ariadne on the new single:
“The song was written in June in Helsinki. I went there to record another song, which was supposed to be my next single. We decided to stay in the studio for an extra day just to write new songs. My main goal, when going to the studio, was to create something, that would be bouncy, gripping and great to listen to. This positive track, that was born in the studio on that way, is definitely one of my most special songs.
It’s no secret, that I have been struggling with my health for most of my life and sometimes it has prevented me from doing things that I love. We took this concept as an inspiration and thanks to Ani, Martti and Aleksanteri, “Running Without You” was born. We all have had someone or something in our lives, that holds us back and won’t let us run and shine. This song is about how to let go, listen to your gut and do what makes you happy.”
Ariadne about the music video: “After the song was recorded, I was so excited and I began to visualize how the music video should look like. I have always loved glam make-up and sportswear and this seemed like the perfect song to tie these two elements together. It was important for me to bring out other glamourous/brilliant people through this music video. There were some specific details like a running stadium, which was already on my first moodboard and made it into the final cut as well. I am very grateful for the A-Cube team, who helped to bring my vision into reality.”
